It is both an honour and a privilege to join the prestigious Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Pune, an iconic institution within the Symbiosis family. Since its establishment in 1985, SICSR has been a pioneer in technology education, introducing some of the first-of-their-kind programs such as BCA and M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT-related programs) at a time when computing education was still in its infancy in India. The Institute has a rich legacy of innovation, academic excellence, and leadership in shaping the future of computing professionals.
As I assume this responsibility, I am inspired by SICSR's remarkable journey and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Our vision is to take the Institute to its next orbit of excellence by focusing on experiential learning, deeper industry collaboration, cutting-edge research, and the meaningful integration of Artificial Intelligence across the teaching-learning ecosystem. We aim to create an environment where students learn not only through classrooms but also through hands-on laboratories, live industry projects, internships, innovation challenges, and real-world problem-solving experiences.
Our commitment is to ensure that every SICSR student graduates with industry-relevant skills, practical expertise, and the confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy. We want our learners to be recognized not merely as fresh graduates, but as professionals equipped with strong practical capabilities and a deep understanding of emerging technologies.
To achieve this, we will actively strengthen partnerships with leading global technology organizations and hyperscalers, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, ServiceNow, Databricks, and several other industry leaders. These collaborations will provide valuable opportunities for certifications, cloud learning pathways, innovation labs, faculty development programs, internships, and industry-led projects. Our objective is to ensure that both our students and faculty remain at the forefront of technological advancements and industry best practices.
Equally important is our focus on empowering faculty members through continuous upskilling and industry engagement. My endeavour is to ensure that SICSR continues to be counted among the top institutions in India for technology and management programs, particularly in areas related to BCA, MBA-IT, and emerging digital disciplines. We will work tirelessly to strengthen our academic foundations while embracing innovation, inclusivity, and global relevance.
